SEEking Execution, Not Only Entrepreneurship

The newest member of the MIT Sloan club assortment, MIT SEE (Sloan Entrepreneurship and Execution), caters to the action-oriented leaders of the community who are committed to developing their careers in entrepreneurship by either starting a company during/after school, or joining a startup before eventually embarking on their own ventures.
If you are a student who is bent on entrepreneurship, you can easily get distracted by the hordes of fellow MBAs crowding the investment banking presentations and consulting interviews. For those of us who have a clear passion for starting our own business, or who've lived through corporate inaction and want to be the firsthand instigators of change, we need a cohort of peers who will stick with their true calling; individuals who you will see are involved with MIT SEE throughout the year.
At MIT, technology is highly glorified, yet very often one of the key aspects of entrepreneurship is forgotten: Execution. That's why we chose Execution as part of our club name. Breakthrough technology is nothing without effective teamwork and rigor; after all, why did VHS beat Betamax? Betamax was technologically superior, but the drivers of VHS executed the idea better and quickly took over as the market standard.
So be on the lookout for the MIT SEE IdeaStorms, peer forums, and companies receiving SEEd funding to start companies over the summer. This startup club will be exciting and challenging to move forward, but seeing the incoming 1st year leaders taking over, expect many MIT SEE companies launched this year.
